Zrnovci is : 8 km away from the nearest railway station in Kocani; 134 km away from the capital Skopje; 118 km away from the airport " Petrovec " in Skopje; 60 km away from the border passage to Bulgaria at Delcevo; 184 km away from the border passage to Greece at " Bogorodica".

The community Zrnovci is situated in the east part of Macedonia, on the transverse road which connects Skopje - Veles - Shtip - Kocani - Delcevo with the Republic of Bulgaria. It is about 8 km away from Kocani. It is situated on the slopes of Plackovica, that is in the zone of the Serbian-Macedonian massif, or the old Rodopi mountains. The three inhabited places (Zrnovci, Vidoviste and Morodvis ) are widely open towards the river Bregalnica and the field of Kocani. The total area of the community Zrnovci is 51.764.076 m2. That is:

The largest village Zrnovci is situated in the east part of Macedonia, 8 km south of Kocani, placed in the valley of Kocani, more precisely in the foot of the mountain Plackovica, with area of 2848 ha. 57% of the total area of Zrnovci is forest, whereas 32% arable land. The biggest part of the arable land is rice fields (the total year production of rice bulb is averagely 800 tons out of which 480 t belong to the community sector ).

The river of Zrnovci goes through the village. The river itself is one of the more abundant tributaries of the river Bregalnica. On the river there is a power station which has largely changed the natural water flow of the river as well as its environment (the living conditions ) in it. The mouth area of the Zrnovska river is 38 km2, while its length is 24 km.

The height of Zrnovci above sea level is 345 m and as a part of the valley of Kocani it is shielded against strong north winds coming from the mountains Osogovo, and against air break through from south,it is protected by the mountain Plackovica. The parameters that illustrate the climate in this region are the following:

WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM AND SEWERAGE

There is one state water supplay system operating on the territory of the community which supplies the biggest number of the households in Zrnovci ( 385 ) and small part in Morodvis with drinking water. This system is within the frames of the Communal Enterprise " Vodovod ' from Kocani. The wells of this water -supply system are in the visinity of the river Bregalnica, in the area called " Orman ". The quantity of water that the community uses from this water - supply system is 8 litres/sec.in winter and 15 litres/sec. in summer. Apart from that one, there are also private water supply systems and well in the community.

PTT - NET ( POST - TELEGRAPH - TELEPHONE )

On the territory of the community Zrnovci there is PTT - net which encompasses the three inhibited places, built quite a time ago but recently modernised with new automatic central with capacity of 768 phone insets, which is fully completed. In the village of Zrnovci there is a post office which works every day, with payments and discharge, postal packages, letters and telegrams. There is also a public telephone in the building

ELECTRO - ENERGETIC NET

On the territory of the community Zrnovci there is electric power station which was built far back in the year 1950 and it was the first one in Macedonia. It is a station of small capacity, which power is two times 900 VA ( two times 630 KW active power).
The annual production is 5.5 million KWh. The station is water supplied from the river Zrnovka, which is 8 km away from the village. The water is driven through a channel to the water tower, wherefrom it falls on the two turbines in the station.
The electric net in the community is widely branched and consists mainly of wooden posts and transformers 10 KV / 0.4 KV which are distributed in the following way: in Zrnovci - 6 ; in Morodvis 2 ; in Vidoviste 2 . On the other hand The community is conected to the electrical energetic net of Macedonia with Vinica by transmission line of 10 KV, with Kocani by 25 KV; and with Stip through the village Teranci by 10 KV transmission line. The present condition of electricity supply of the community is on satisfactory level.

URBAN - COMMUNAL INFRASTRUCTURE

The village of Zrnovci does not have a proper public parking place, except for its square which is used for that purpose. In the centre of the village there is a public park with 3000 m2 surface. The park is decorated and planted with linden-trees, pines and birches. The local inhabitants use the park largely for rest and recreation. In addition to this, there are some other publicsurfaces in the village, which are not tidied and are used for various people's needs ( bean threshing, drying wet crops etc. )
The public institutions in the village are: The Primary School " Todor Arsov " with 490 pupils in 28 clases and 40 employees; The House of Culture with about 250 seats and cinema with projector; Sports Hall (an object with a wide hall); Football Playground with stands; Summer garden - a restaurant with about 400 seats; local market with several stalls; Outpatient Clinic, Post Office and etc.

The village Morodvis does not have a square, but there is a so called middle - village place where all the village celebrations and events take place. There are no public parking places, but there are some public places that serve that purpose. There is not a park, either.The public institutions in this village are: The House of Culture, which is being built, The District School with 4 grades with total of 45 pupils; and a football pitch.

The village Vidoviste has got a spacious square called " Magila " in the central part of the village. There is neither a park nor public parking places in the village.
